My First Fruits travels from dates and figs to pears and plums. My First Numbers counts moons, cups of milk, honeybees, books and stars. My First Animals meets creatures close to home and farther away. My First Blessings notices cool water, warm bread, a safe home, loving arms and morning light.

British birds and native flowers sit naturally beside dates, olives and camels, a world familiar to children growing up in Britain, and generous enough to travel far beyond it. Every page holds one clear idea and one gentle watercolour image, leaving room to look, point, name, count and return.
